What is a Healing Field?
A Healing Field is a flag display set up in recognition of a particular event or group of people. Made up of American flags, the display will consist almost 3,000 flags representing the soldiers who have been killed while fighting the war on terror.
Why do we want a Healing Field in
This is a unique opportunity to offer the Mid-South an event that is not political, yet is patriotic, and is well-suited to families (with no cost to the family unless they choose to purchase a flag for $25.) This event will be a celebration of our freedoms and a chance to reflect upon the sacrifices being made daily by our soldiers protecting these freedoms. It will honor all soldiers in the fight against terror. Each afternoon, there will be a ceremony to honor any soldier killed in action that day.
Where will the Healing Field be located?
This year, the Healing Field will be located at Agricenter International, 7777 Walnut Grove,
90,000 cars pass by this location each day. The second weekend of the event will be combined with the Ducks Unlimited event that attracts 50,000 people.
When will the event take place?

How can you help?
This event will take a tremendous amount of support from the community in order to be successful. In addition to having the option of buying individual flags, organizations and individuals may choose to be sponsors of the 2006 Healing Field, with official sponsorships starting at $2,500. In addition to financial support, volunteers will be needed to assist in various areas, such as setting up and removing the flags. Media sponsors will be needed to spread the word.
