PACT "Provide crisis intervention, support, advocacy and referral services for victims of domestic violence/sexual assault."  They offer a toll-free, 24-hour crisis line, an emergency shelter is available for women and their children who are victims of domestic violence.  And they offer a Men's Non-Violence Program. They are also a member agency of The Law. Co. United Way.  Through a grant program, HH-PACT (Prisoners and Community Together), an umbrella agency which also focuses on rehabilitation for juvenile offenders, was able to absorb the struggling DVIN (Domestic Violence Intervention) program that was available a few years ago locally, to continue providing a resource and safe haven to abused women and children in Lawrence, Orange, and Washington counties. Since Prevention of Child Abuse is our national campaign and focus for Exchange Club, and since Indiana leads the country in child abuse deaths, we chose HH-PACT as an organization we would like to help with funds raised for our first Healing Field this July.
