Where We've Come From & Where We're Going

America Needs your Help
For the past 4 years the Colonial Flag Foundation national movement of Healing Field and Field of Honor flag displays has been instrumental in uniting communities for a positive healing experience.  Our mission to keep patriotism and the flag of the United State of America flying proud in every community across this great country has been a great success. To help communities Remember, Honor and Healing while supporting local causes and needs through displays of Old Glory in acres of red, white and blue placed on fields by volunteers, funded by local businesses and attended by patriotic Americans has truly become a National Movement.

America is a strong and willing heart of unity. Since 9/11 we have, in spite of our many differences been and still are united as one, big family.  This has never been more evident than in the more than 150 host Healing Field or Field of Honor communities over the past 4 years. While terrorists sought to “divide and conquer” us they only succeeded in uniting us more than ever before. More flags fly in homes and businesses in America than ever before.

In our host cities, walking among the thousands of US flags there are no democrats or Republicans, no liberals or conservatives, there are only Americans wishing for a better life for their children and praying for our heroes who keep us free.

In 2002 one small town placed the first Healing Field of 3000 flags on a field to  commemorate the lives lost on that infamous day one year prior. In 2003 the Colonial Flag Foundation was formed to answer the requests from patriotic communities around the country who wanted to bring this amazing tribute event to their town. That first year of national efforts saw 5 host communities. As Americans will, we spread the word, photos, stories and personal experiences on these fields of flags and in 2004 our foundation assisted and administered these programs to 43 host communities.  The themes and reasons for the displays grew to many causes, educational tools, remembrance and awareness issues facing us today. .

In 2005 forty five more host communities came on board and licensed to present a Healing Field or Field of Honor raising millions of dollars for charities and local causes. Now with 2006 coming to a close our numbers are still growing as is the media coverage and license applications from coast to coast and north to south.

In 2007 organizers will launch the education model of the Colonial Flag Foundation programs. "Milestones of Freedom" flag displays will be presented to educators and schools to remind our youth of the path to freedom our country has traveled and the cost of that freedom.  These events will also help to fund needs for our youth, our schools and the educational needs of our future leaders.

Wherever awareness for a cause, issue or remembrance is needed, a Healing Field or Field of Honor flags display event is a very effective visual.  These programs have been displayed to honor Veterans, War Heroes and Soldiers, Cancer awareness, Child Abuse, Heart Disease, Domestic Violence, celebrations, dedication and remembrance or to declare your own day to honor those currently serving in the armed forces and educate our youth about the principals represented by the US flag.    In a very short amount of time, these programs administered by the Colonial Flag Foundation have helped thousands of people in countless communities across America heal emotional wounds, grow closer and celebrate the full glory of patriotism.

Your Contribution can Help us Continue to our Mission.
Each individual American should have the chance to volunteer and experience the rewards of being a part of this uniting and patriotic movement. Administering the program to help these communities with fundraising, media, PR logistics, programs and dedications is an ongoing challenge to fund and grow.
