Hurricane Destroys Headquarters The BACODA headquarters and counseling facilities were destroyed by Hurricane Ike. This has not only caused the postponement of their Healing Field event from 2008 to November of this year but it has made the need even greater. Please sponsor a flag to be flow on this Healing Field and help them rebuild the facilities and family centers so desperately needed in our communities. Thanks You.   Houston, Texas will be the host city to a 2009 Healing Field where you will be able behold a beautiful display of 1,616 of U.S. flags. These 3'X5' flags will stand 8' tall in perfect rows. Each flag flying will be in memory of an individual that was killed in an alcohol related vehicle accident in the State of Texas.   Hosted By:   BACODA’s mission is to help individuals, families and communities stop alcohol/drug abuse and addiction.  We accomplish this through community involvement, education, outreach, prevention, intervention, screening and referral.  Help is just a phone call away or a key stroke away on BACODA’s website http://www.bacoda.com  Proceeds from this event will benefit BACODA – Bay Area Council on Drugs and Alcohol.
