Soldier's Field Memorial
Day Ceremony Presented by

Imagine a sea of red white and blue this Memorial Day. Hundreds of American flags will stand eight foot tall in perfect rows and columns across a field of green at the Mooresville High School football stadium. The visual effect will be one of infinity. The sacrifice and memory becomes real and tangible when you see this breathtaking display in honor of soldiers who have served and sacrificed to keep America free. These young men and women have given their lives in the line of duty and met the call to arms with courage.

This field honors all service men and women past and present who have served and continue to serve, that our land remains free. This breathtaking display will be free to the public on Memorial Day weekend. Bring a camera and your family. Join us as we honor, remember, and heal.

The event will begin at 1:00 pm on Saturday May 28th with the "Assembly of the Field." Volunteers from the community are invited to show up at the Mooresville High School football stadium and help assemble the flags and place them on the field. The field will be open from May 28-30, 2005. We will culminate the Soldier's Field with a high level, patriotic ceremony beginning at 11:00 am on Monday May 30. This event is hosted by the Mooresville-Lake Norman Exchange Club and the flags need your sponsorship. For $40 (of which $25 is tax deductible) you can sponsor a flag and after the event you can take your flag home to continue the tribute and honor to our great country and the brave men and women who defend the cause of freedom around the world. Checks can be made to Exchange Charities and the proceeds will be alocated to the Iredell County Exchange SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now) Child and Parenting Center.

Each 3'x5' Healing Field flag includes the eight foot pole with gold ball and the rebar to post it in the lawn of your home or business. To sponsor your flag through this web site click on the flag picture on the right.
