at the Antietam Battlefield

July 1 - 4, 2004

From July 1, 2004, through July 4, 2004, during the nationally renowned Independence Day celebration at the Antietam National Battlefield the local Exchange Clubs of Washington County will host a Healing Field of over 3000 American Flags. Each flag will represent a victim of the 9/11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. A breathtaking display of patriotism and unity, this community project invites all to participate and heal together from the heartache of a nation attacked. The Healing Field flags will be available for pre-sales through this web page. All proceeds from the sale of the flags will be donated to the Exchange Clubs' Parent Child Center in Hagerstown, MD. The Parent Child Center is the regional center dedicated to the prevention of child abuse.

To reserve your 3' x 5' US Healing Field Flag that has been flown on this historic national battlefield, visit our Keepsakes Store. Your will receive a receipt to be presented at the time of pick up when you will receive your flag and certificate of authenticity.

Also Available are the Flag of Heroes and Flag of Honor comemorative banners. These collectables lsit the names of all the victims and the first responders. They are available at the information booth during the event or through this web site.
