The South Carolina District Exchange Clubs and its Community Partners will host a Healing Field Memorial Event from May 30-June 4.
Imagine a sea of red white and blue. Thousands of American flags will stand eight foot tall in perfect rows and columns across a field of green at the Marion Square. The visual effect will be one of infinity. The sacrifice and memory becomes real and tangible when you see this breathtaking display in honor of soldiers who have served and sacrificed to keep America free. These young men and women have given their lives in the line of duty and met the call to arms with courage. This breathtaking display will be free to the public on over the Memorial Day holiday. Bring a camera and your family. Join us as we honor, remember, and heal. The
event will be open from May 30 until June 5 at
1:00 pm when the flags will be taken down and given to those who have
sponsored the individual flags to continue the tribute in their own
homes. Assembly of the field will be announced in the
upcoming weeks. Any volunteers from the community are invited to contact Dennis Lott at (843) 572-4306
