 Memphis TN will be the host city to a 2005 Patriot Day Healing Field of more than 4500 flags. These 3x5' flags will stand 8 foot tall in perfect rows and columns across a field of green. 3000 of the flags will stand in honor of a life lost in the terrorist attacks on September 11th 2001. This living memorial will fly as a patriotic tribute to the strength and unity of Americans.
A soldier's Coalition Healing Field will also be displayed with one flag and yellow ribbon for each service man or woman who has given their life in the fight against terrorism since 9/11/01.
The Healing Field display will be located at Agricenter International, 7777 Walnut Grove Rd., Memphis. A breathtaking display of patriotism and unity, this community project is free to all who wish to participate and heal together from the heartache of a nation attacked. The patriotic event is hosted by the Exchange Clubs of Greater Shelby County. These flags need your sponsorship. You can sponsor a flag and on September 18th you can take your flag home to continue your tribute and honor to our great country. Each 3'x5' flag comes with and eight foot pole and the rebar to post it in your lawn.
Volunteer: volunteers from the community are invited to show up on the evening of September 9, 2005 and help assemble the flags and place them on the field. If you or your organization would like to be a part of this moving event contact:
