Thanks to everyone for supporting the Naperville Healing Field of Honor!

From Nov. 8-14, 2,009 American Flags on Rotary Hill paid tribute to all veterans and their families and everyone who has ever served our great nation.

This patriotic exhibit was hosted by the Exchange Club of Naperville in collaboration with the Naperville Park District.

With mostly glorious sunshine, every day was blessed without a single drop of rain from Nov. 6-14. Paul Swenson, Founder of the Colonial Flag Foundation, created the concept of the Healing Field in 2002 for the first anniversary of Sept. 11. Swenson pictured here in front of the Naperville Municipal Band, attended the Veterans Day Ceremony in Naperville at which time he said veterans in spire him "to be a better father, husband and citizen."

 THANK YOU,
VOLUNTEERS!

Vistors to the Healing Field of Honor had the opportunity
to view the exhibit from the observation decks of the Moser
Tower with 72 carillon bells.

Thanks to our generous supporters, all proceeds from the sale of American flags with commemorative tags and the print will benefit a Fisher House at Hines VA
Hospital in Maywood.

 Thanks again to all!

In the distance on Sept. 11, the Naperville Park District set up a 10-flag display representing the Healing Field of Honor.  During the annual observance at the Cmdr. Dan Shanower / Sept. 11 Memorial, committee members distributed hand-held American flags as a remembrance.

Jack Shiffler, Mayor George Pradel and Dave Wentz participated in the ceremony to mark the Sept. 11 Observance
