The R.O.C.K. Group (Raising Our Children Kindly), a child abuse prevention agency, will be hosting a temporary memorial Healing Field Flag Display on Father's Day weekend June 16-18, 2006, flying over1,300 full size American flags, one for each child reported abused and neglected in Chatham County in 2005. This beautiful and memorable display will be placed on 3 acres of grassy green fields fronting the National Guard Armory on Eisenhower Drive. Each flag will be tied with blue ribbon and named for a child in Chatham County. |
A flag memorial of 1,300 US Flags will be flown to benefit the Coastal Empire First Steps Program.
