The Healing Field in Wilkes-Barre honored the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attack and the coalition soldiers who died in the war against terror from September 11th, 2001.

Volunteers and sponsors helped the City of Wilkes-Barre to plan and organize this unforgettable community project.

People took part by sponsoring a 3-by-5-foot flag to take it home and continue the tribute.

Proceeds for the Wyoming Valley event benefited the family support groups for military units overseas, local veterans groups, youth groups and the Osterhout Library.
